Web Dashers not working? Fixes and safety

A short checklist for when the game will not load, why online levels sometimes fail, and a straight answer on whether it is safe and whether it is official.

Quick fixes when it will not load

Wait for the loading screen. The first load fetches all the game files and can take a while on a slow connection.
Reload the page, then click Play again.
Try another browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
Turn off script blockers and strict privacy extensions for this page, or try a private window with extensions off.
Open the original site in its own tab: web-dashers.github.io. If it works there but not here, the frame is being blocked.
Check your network. Some school and work networks block github.io. If the original site does not open either, that is the cause.

These are general steps, not an official list from the makers.

Online levels or level search not working

Online levels are fetched through a server run by the project maker, not from this page. That server has had downtime, for example about 10 hours in early September 2026 (see updates). When that happens there is nothing to fix on your side. The main levels work without it.

If the game works on the original site but not on this page, the problem is ours: email [email protected]. For bugs in the game itself, use the project's GitHub Issues page, check that the bug is not already listed, and mention if you were playing through a fan page like this one.

Is Web Dashers safe?

It runs as a web page, with nothing to install, and its source code is public on GitHub. We could not find any official download or app.

Do not download a "Web Dashers apk or exe". The project is the web page. A file from some other site is not from the makers.
Playing the main levels needs no login, so there is no reason to type your Geometry Dash password into any site to play them.
Automated safety-score sites often rate small, new web addresses low because of their age, not because of a problem found.

Is Web Dashers official?

No. It is a fan-made mod of a Geometry Dash demo made by community contributors. Geometry Dash is made by RobTop Games. This page, RhythmDashers, is a separate fan page that is not made by either of them.

The game shows a black screen. What now?

Wait for the loading screen, reload, then try another browser or turn off script blockers. If the original site is also black, the problem is on your side or the maker is down.

Is it safe to play Web Dashers?

It is a web page with nothing to install and public source code. Avoid any download offered under the Web Dashers name.

Is there a Web Dashers app?

We could not find one. It is played in the browser.

Does Web Dashers use my Geometry Dash account?

No account is needed for the main levels. It is a separate web page from the official game, so you can play them without signing in to anything.
